Distinguished Bar-Ilan University Professor Schlomo Havlin has been awarded the prestigious Israel Prize In Physics.
Minister of Education Naftali Bennett announced on Sunday that Professor Shlomo Havlin has won the Israel Prize in the field of physics.
The prize committee cited Prof. Havlin as “a pioneer in a number of fields in statistical physics and its implications for complex systems in different areas,” ranging from social networks to technological networks, economic networks, political systems, physiological systems and DNA function. It noted, “Of all Israeli scientists, Prof. Havlin is the most cited by scientists around the world.”
